Before you leave home, you’ll have to complete our 2-week, online, self-paced English camp preparation course. You’ll learn how to develop a curriculum and lessons for an English camp. This way, you’ll know exactly what you’re getting into before you even leave home.
Once you land in Thailand our local team will be waiting for you at the airport. After a night in Bangkok (or, for smaller intakes, straight from the Bangkok airport) you’ll be transported to your hotel accommodation in Hua Hin – your home base for the next 4-8 weeks.
Your first week is jam-packed with your in-country orientation activities. You’ll learn all about Thai culture, religion, politics, and a few language lessons from experienced instructors.
There is also a huge range of cultural activities planned, including a Muay Thai class to impress your friends back home, visit to a local street dog rescue clinic in case you want to adopt your new best friend, visit to a nearby Thai market and traditional Thai cooking class for when you’re courting that special someone, and a beach BBQ where you’ll meet your fellow teachers.
From then on you’ll travel around Thailand, teaching English at various camps around the country. Each camp is 2-4 days long, so you’ll have plenty of time in between to relax, explore, or party. You’ll also receive a monthly stipend ($50 – $150 USD a month) to cover your cost of living while you’re there. Previous examples of camps include ones set up for underprivileged, rural public schools that can’t afford to hire an English teacher ful-time, or a short English camp to assist the national park rangers to improve their language interaction with tourists.

If you’re affected by Covid-19 while you’re overseas, you will have all the support you need from our team or partners in-country as well as have access to our 24/7 Global Emergency Line. We recommend travellers purchase Global Travel Cover travel insurance that provides Covid-19 medical protection too.
As border restrictions for countries begin to ease, being fully vaccinated will maximise the number of locations you can visit. So while you are not legally required to be vaccinated, and it’s also not a requirement to travel with us, it will limit some of the countries that you can visit and may make it harder to travel through over the next 12-18 months. We highly recommend our travellers look at the current travel restrictions of their destination, speak with a medical professional or get in touch with our team for travel advice.
Our Ultimate Corona Booking Flexibility means you can change your trip’s start date up to 84* days before departure without incurring any charges when you rebook it for any time (or even any other trip) in the next 2 years from your original start date.
In the event that you want to cancel your booking altogether, if you give us over 84* days notice you can do so with only a 50% cancellation fee.
